All artwork is the source and vehicle of transmission of knowledge, since its engendering is a form of appropriation of reality, through the creation of another reality. Every work of art not only imparts knowledge, but also re-creates and produces new knowledge, each time a receiver/viewer savours it. This fact creates a much more complex circuit than that which is generated from the transmission of an already integrated knowledge. Art fulfills a cognitive function, but it also creates/forms the addressed subject of its message.

Art education suggests the making of something and, since the original sense of the word "art" - as the Greek term Tekhno suggests – actually involves the making of something, it can be understood as the acquisition of practical skills, of techniques related to artistic activity. This is the way through which training contact is established and from which the raw elements that will support any and all artistic creation are assimilated. Art education gives a series of objective components of creation and composition, on the one hand, and of assimilation and acceptance on the other, so that the creator uses, violates and converts them into a device that will lead to something bigger - the work of art.

The works included in this show result from the development of the curricular content of the subjects of DRAWING and ART WORKSHOP included in the Course of Visual Arts.
